yo aiesec pay attention

"Growth, we all have learned, is no longer automatic. The past has less to teach us than we need to know. Consumers are jaded, markets fragmented and disposable dollars scarce. Risk is everywhere, and pressure induces rigidity, making it dificult to try new things.

This, as every visionary knows, is a rare moment of opportunity: one that rewards creativity and compensates companies that have learned to cultivate the brilliance of individuals and instill an effective process for innovation in their corporate cultures." (cheryl heller)

i believe this applies to aiesec us more than ever. capitalize on it. aaaaaaaaaaaaand im done.

revolutions are all around

"Mission: To create a design revolution by enlisting the best designers in the world to develop products and ideas that will benefit the 90% of the people on earth who are poor, in order to help them earn their way out of poverty. We do this in three ways: Inspiring, Educating and Connecting" (d-rev)

d-rev is designing for the other 90%. heller communication design is bridging relationships between corporations and ngos. aiesec us lcps are demanding a change.

revolution really is all around and im at the brink of it all. more details to come once i've made THE decision.

new york's hidden treasure

i honestly believe that ithaca is a hidden treasure. it has such a rich and unique culture that allows hippies, entrepreneurs, socialites, and bohemians to peacefully collaborate to make the city what it is. it has music festivals, farmers markets, and craft shows that bring in people from a 200 mile radius on a weekly basis. its winters, though cold as fuck, are amazingly beautiful, and its summers are just plain gorgeous. it is a supportive place for people to come and begin their life, start it over, or explore a new idea.

and so i conclude my short ode to this fabulous city. if you can, come to ithaca. you wont regret it and then you'll really understand what im talking about.
