just got my e-ticket from colombo (they pay for my ticket and my visa...baller i know) telling me i have a direct flight from nyc to medellin at 8am on the 30th. this means i get to stay for my dads bday, a trip to ithaca, helping julie move into her new apartment, and sufficient time to finish my tefl (if i get my ass into gear).

and i got my visa in literally one hour yesterday. i almost shat my pants i didnt believe it. this time its good until dec 20th 2009. i got the chills when i read that, and not just because of the subzero conditions that NY is currently in. 

food for thought

tomorrow i leave for the states. but i will not be staying, but instead coming back as a contributing, tax paying member to colombian society. i can carry on an in depth conversation in spanish on a wide variety of complex topics. i have really good friends and a family here. im employed. im probably the happiest ive ever been.

just 6 months ago who would have thought this would actually be happening?
