slam poetry.

at first i was a skeptic. the first time i saw this (it was sent to me by a hilarious friend from high school that essentially started a slam poetry night at his school...or something along those lines) i didnt know what to make of it. is this guy mocking something or taking himself seriously? i was put off and what do most people do when they initially are put off? make fun of it and reject it.

but after watching it a few times i decided slam poetry is in fact an art. its hilarious, serious, irrelevant, and pertinant all at once.

and this guy is an artist. and as of now one of my favorites.

so indulge if you will.

and one last line for good luck (and some confused but genuine laughter):
rock out like the streets and the books are all on fire and the flames can only be extinguished by doing the electric slide.
